Visit one of Bridgend County Borough Council's informal drop-in sessions for free help, advice and support on using your PC, tablet, laptop or other device. Whether you are a complete novice or have a specific query, their IT experts can help and are held on:

Mondays:
Pencoed Library - am

Tuesdays:
Maesteg Sports Centre - am
Aberkenfig Library - pm

Wednesdays:
Pyle Lfe Centre - am
Ogmore Valley Life Centre - pm

Thursdays: Y Centre, John Street, Porthcawl - pm

Free IT courses - learndirect IT courses

learndirect offers great flexibility. Many of the courses let you learn anywhere with internet access such as during our drop-in sessions, in libraries, or at home. Courses are split into bitesize chunks, and you can study at your own pace. Sign up at any of the digital drop-in sessions or via the contact details below.

The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

ECDL is the world's leading computer skills certification. More than 14 million people have engaged with the course, in over 100 countries.

The ECDL programme develops your ability to use a computer and common applications. Its wide range of modules includes Computer Essentials, Word Processing and IT Security. Candidates take tests in the modules most relevant to their educational and professional needs, which creates their ECDL Profile. Whether in school, university or the workplace, ECDL offers the skills you need to succeed. Enrol via the details below.

ECDL course fees:
ECDL units are free, but there is a £15 registration fee, and a cost of £5 per exam to be paid on sitting them. If you are eligible for a concession, the registration fee is £5, but the cost per exam is still £5.
